Vera started as a massage therapist and a Gestalt therapist, learnt Aromatherapy, and then was always asked to make creams for clients, friends and family. She did it at home for 2 years, before she bought Verissima House. Her most important motto still is: to only use the best ingredients, cold pressed vegetable oils like Jojoba, Almond, apricot, avocado, macadamia, evening primrose, borage seed, calendula etc. and pure essential oils, and, her range is and shall stay affordable. That is why she recycles packaging for parcels, doesn't have gold rims on the labels, and uses no extra packaging around the products; it's all a waste of resources, mainly trees. She of course does not do animal testing either. She does use a preservative for the creams, otherwise they would go mouldy after a few weeks, but the preservative she uses is a natural one: Grapefruit seed extract. Other than bees wax and honey she uses no animal products
